Default Saddened by dumb LFG'ers

This is kind of a rant/request.

I'm not TOTALLY disapointed by the LFG (looking for group/looking for team/etc) system. You broadcast and pray someone sees it through all the chatter. I mean, I've come from a few other MMOs that are the same way.

But then, I've also played things like CoH. Where you set yourself as looking for a team, and anyone can find you based on class, area, level, etc.

On top of that, we have monks that are smiters, Me/Mo's that are healers, and so many classes that play differently than what people think they should. I laugh my ass off when I see someone broadcast "Group is looking for amonk!!!! OMFG BBQSAUCE!" Not all monks heal/protect. Not all monks WANT to heal or protect either (don't try to convince my Mo/Wa to drop my fighting skills for healing/protection).

Then we have people who help no one when they broadcast... people who go "Mo/Me18 LFG". I mean, good for you, but what is it that you do exactly? Are you a healer, hexer, debuffer, smiter, WHAT ARE YOU?!

Since the begining of my playing I've always done "N/MoXX LFG. Minions/Smiting. I'm by such-and-such-a-place." People IMMEDIATELY know what they're getting into when they invite me. They know I'll be raising the dead, so anyone with a death based necro in the team knows not to invite me. And they know I'll be smiting (and not healing). They also know where to find me. God I hate looking for shouters in a populated town.

At the very least, I'd just like a team find system like CoH where you can find all players in your current town (district won't matter) who are LFG. Then you can PM them to find out what they do before inviting, or invite, then find out what they do and see if they fit your need.

Oh well... Hopefully people at least get smarter and pick up on the, "N/MoXX LFG. Minions/Smiting. I'm by such-and-such-a-place." style of broadcasting.

i certainly will, it never realy acured to me that so many differenct classes ( well styles if you like ) are present. I dont usualy go around shouting out my stats. I usualy link up with an excisting group or create a party myself, but i know what youre saying, A system in the game like CoH you described would be nice. And i will change my own ways 2

Here's a tissue. If all you do is complain about the community then why do you stick around?
Also, you should keep in mind that not everyone is an uber nerd like you and follows a specific build. Just suck it up, princess.
